Free Spirit Advice for My Sisters

Dear,

You will come to realize that life is not as simple as you initially believed as you get older and enter the world we refer to as "adulthood." There is so much more than just great clothes and a big house, which we all desire. As you go forward in your lives, I want you to keep these things in mind.

Never give in.

It is usually easy to choose the straightforward route and abide by other people's recommendations. You will hate it if you don't want to do that. Always think outside the box in anything you choose to undertake. Whether you decide to enroll straight away in college, postpone enrollment for a year, or not. Make sure to pick a skill that you excel at and that you enjoy. Who cares if others think you're strange or a little different?

Always smile.

Following other people's recommendations and going the easy route is always simple. You will hate it if you decide against doing that. Always think outside the box when making decisions. Whether you decide not to enroll in college, defer enrollment for a year, or enroll straight away. Choose a skill that you like developing and excel at it. Who cares if you come across as a little odd or unusual to others?

Be kind.

Always, it is simpler to be cruel than kind. Because they are so preoccupied with their busy life and perceived success, the majority of individuals do not want to bother others. No matter what their level or line of work, everyone deserves your respect and consideration. Everyone is struggling on the inside, and your thoughtful deeds or words might actually change how a total stranger views the world. Additionally, be kind to those who are mean to you because they most need it.

Be creative.

Choose a hobby and stick with it. Describe yourself. Use it as a release. Life will be difficult at times, but finding a positive way to handle it will change the way you view it. The most prosperous people in this world chose the less beaten path.

Wear your heart on your sleeve.

The most difficult task is this one. People will hurt you emotionally, surprise you, and even leave you feeling unworthy. Let your emotions out, then gather yourself, and carry on. Allow each love you experience to grow into a passionate one that will break your heart. If you're not afraid of falling in love, life will be much more exciting for you. Never make others pay for the actions of others (though it is good to learn from your mistakes).

Do not be a doormat.

Be kind, but hold to your principles. Be accepting of other people's cultures and beliefs, but never let anyone make you feel as though your views are less valid because they differ from theirs. Life is full of unexpected twists and turns. Spend time getting to know others while also getting to know yourself. Accept your odd interests if you have them. For instance, I'm strangely obsessed with learning German and KPOP.

I have so much more to say to you guys, but for now, this will have to do. You two are about to embark on a special period in your lives. It's amazing to watch you develop, but in the end, do what makes YOU happy. Whatever you decide, we will stand by you, even if we don't agree. Discover what this world has to offer you besides a luxurious home and designer apparel.
